Maple Media 5th and 6th grade students have been working on their culminating project for the Maple School One Book, One School program. Every student was provided with an opportunity to read the award-winning novel The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. After passing an easy quiz, they earned tickets to see the movie version so they could compare media strenghths and weaknesses. They then collaborated to research the characters from Greek Mythology in the book to write their own script, storyboard it, and shoot and edit their own short movie.
